Originally published in 2011 There's something quite serene about sitting down to a movie you know you're not going to enjoy. After starting last year with the definitive average flick 'Post Grad', 2011 starts with the 5. 0/10 iMDB scoring, straight to video schlock fest that is 'Ticking Clock' starring Cuba Gooding Jr. It's been close to 15 years since Gooding won his Oscar for 'Jerry Maguire' and despite plenty of releases in the last decade, an awfully long time since any of his films have appeared on my radar. In a way I'm grateful that 'Ticking Clock' showed up when it did, but probably not for the reasons the filmmakers envisioned. To put it bluntly, 'Ticking Clock' is a terrible… "Hmm. Let's see... So this is the usual crime drama moviW-w-w-whoa wait!! What in the world?! " movies to pen this tale of Lewis Hicks (Cuba Gooding Jr. ) a newspaper reporter who gets drawn into the homicide investigation of his mistress and finding the killer's diary/sketchbook. The film starts off well enough, nothing to special, but watchable enough.

Instead of writing his next story, Lewis becomes the story when his new girlfriend is sadistically murdered, and he is the only suspect. Lewis investigates the murder himself and finds the killer's journal with his past victims and a death list of his future prey.
But as the movie goes on, the plot unravels more and more with each subsequent ridiculous twist. Furthermore, Neal McDonough, such a brilliant heavy in the most recent season of Justified, is sadly wasted in this ridiculous little film. PS: Newspapers seem to be extremely affordable in the future Well, I was expecting to watch an okay film about a serial killer, but it ended up being about a time travelling serial killer. Which to be honest, was a little weird. Recent reviews Meio fraco, mas eu tenho um xodózinho com viagens no tempo e afins, então comprei a ideia. I don't know why i i do There are rare occasions where a direct to video movie is way better than the shit Hollywood puts out these days. This is that rare occasion. Boy, does this take a TURN. Wow. muddled storyline, but watchable. Reporter played by Cuba Gooding Jr seems to do more police work than reporting, as he is on the trail of a serial killer who always seems to be a step ahead of him. Not a bad movie, I have seen worse.
